Object clause is in Company’s Memorandum of Association which is created and filed with ROC at the time of Company Incorporation. Object Clause specifies those objectives for which a company is registered in India. Company cannot do any other business which is not specified in the Object clause of Memorandum of Association. If the Company is willing to change its business activity or diversify business operations, then the Company can alter its main objects subject to compliance with Companies Act, 2013 and approval of ROC. The company must change its name also to bring it in conformity with main objects if there is change in business activities.
