Documents Required
- Copy of Aadhaar Card/ Voter identity card of Proprietor/ Partners/ Director.
- A Copy of Property paper (If owned property).
- A Copy of Rent agreement (If rented property).
- A copy of Electricity/ Water bill or any utility bills (Where a food business will operate).
- A copy of VAT, Registration certificate or a copy of service tax registration certificate.
- One Cancelled cheque.

- Upload Manufacturing unit photograph.
- Proposed or Existing List of Equipment and Machinery.
- List of food categories with item details desired to be manufactured.

What is the Validity of FSSAI Registration Certificate?
Once FSSAI License is issued, it is valid for one or two years. Before end of its validity, the license can be renewed for a further term based on the requirements of the business.
I import food items for sale in India. Do I need a license from FSSAI?
Yes, you will be required to obtain a central license from the address contained in Import Export Code. For import export of food items FSSAI central license is mandatory.
Do I need separate FSSAI Registration if I have two business places in the same city?
FSSAI license that is issued is always location specific. If you have multiple business places you need to apply for separate registration for each location.
